Hi guys, I received a letter for something that looks like a penalty from WALDORF FROMMER lawyer, concerning a film in internet (I think is about pop-corn film). Quite big, 900 euros. Do you know any lawyer to ask about? Is that legal? Suggestions? Thanks

Lawyer up, others can advise which firms are cheapest. If the letter is addressed to the landlord who passed it onto you, urgently ask the landlord not to contact WF. The lawyer will advise of a loophole and how best the landlord can respond without having to pay the fine. If it is addressed to you, the lawyer will draft another cease and desist letter along with offering WF a reduced amount, maybe 50% of the total. Ask the lawyer to include a repayment agreement to pay the fine off in monthly installments. Including lawyer fees with the reduced offer (which WF must first accept) hopefully you'll save

Gaelle Linard : Hi. Just looked up up the group with waldorf but dint really find your post. Well as a matter of fact I'm preparing a declaration for cease and desist , so would be great if you could point me to the right post so I'd probably have a look at yours too.

Yes, indeed. I looked back with some of my keywords and nothing showed. The guy must have removed the post to protect himself. We used these guys, very efficient: www.new-media-law.net/en/ and then NordVPN to prevent any further infringement: go.nordvpn.net/SH6q

I advise strongly against paying. I had the same thing a while back and after asking around and looking up in the internet I decided to send them a modified version of the statement they ask you yo sign and then completely ignored any follow up letters they sent me. Best way to ago would be to consult a lawyer to help you prepare the statement you should send. I used the default one that I found on the internet.
