Day 1 – Friday 26th January – Bus departures from Germany
Meet up at midnight at ZOB and we will board the bus together to go to our final destination: Venice!
Day 2 – Saturday 27th January – Venice
Benvenuti in Italia! Welcome to Italy! In the morning, we will stop at the accommodation to freshen up and if you like, you can enjoy an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet (optional extra). Afterwards, we make our way to the Troncetto bus terminal of Venice and start getting into the spirit of Venice Carnival 2018.
From the bus terminal, it’s a 30-minute walk to Piazalle Roma. If you don’t fancy walking, you can join us on a 20-minute private boat ride to the famous St. Mark Square and then go on a 2-hour walking tour (optional extra).
Afterwards, the day is for you to explore the festive atmosphere of Venice during Carnival!At 6pm, make sure you are at the Rio di Cannaregio as this where the Grand Opening of the Carnival takes place. It turns into a real water stage with a show that delights thousands of visitors each year, where floating structures transfer on water the theme of Carnevale.
An outstanding evening show will bring music, rhythm, joy along Cannaregio shores, opening in the best way the Carnival of Venice 2018. The show will be intensified by the dance and the music, that will produce a unique moment: you can’t miss it!After the show, you will receive an included private transfer to the accommodation where will be able to check-in and spend the rest of your evening as you please!
Day 3 – Sunday 28th January – Verona
On day two, we say “arrivederci” to Venice and make our way to Verona.
For the Italians Verona is the “Italy door”, because it’s the first city that people coming from the North see. Verona is full of artistic, historical and cultural histories, all this in a city that maintains a suggestive atmosphere made of alleys, squares and typical food.
Home to a world-famous annual opera festival, this remarkably preserved Roman amphitheater has a fascinating history and grand modern allure. Spend time strolling through the UNESCO-listed historical center to see top Verona attractions such as Juliet’s House as well as the spectacular Verona Arena (Arena di Verona).
In the late afternoon, we will leave the beautiful city of Verona and make our way back.
