IFM Ski lessons-booked out!

We are no longer accepting registrations for this event

Ever wanted to learn how to ski? There is nothing that makes more fun than learning how to ski (taught in english). You can see the reviews of previous people by clicking on the Organiser.

IFM has managed to get some very interesting deals with a professional ski school in Lenggries. Now the season has finally started. Here is the deal.

_Meet-up at Munich HbF at the time indicated in the table below (yes, it is early but it will always be the case if you want to go skiing). We buy the ticket (Gruppen BOB-MVV ticket, 31 Euros for up to 5 people, not included in price).

_ Arrive at Lenggries and take the bus (will be obvious which one, there is only one)

_Get out at Brauneck Bahn.

_Go to Skischule Isarwinkel.

_They will have the rentals ready (choose them below, they add 22 Euros to the cost)

_4 hours of courses (complete beginners, breaking and doing slow curves, Able to take a lift, starting with red slopes), ski and snowboard available.

_Ski together the rest of the day (if you still have any force to do so...)

_Leave back to Munich at the lastest at 17.30 (last bus). You can decide this in your BOB-ticket group.

YOU WILL ONLY NEED TO BUY A SKI TICKET FOR THE BABYLIFT IF YOU ARE COMPLETE BEGINNER (or braking and curves, should be between 7 and 10 euros). If you are able to take the skilift then you will (very likely but up to the ski teacher) only need a 9 Euro ticket for the Traidlhang.

Please note: the snowboard lessons are for some reasons only 3 hours long and start 30 min earlier than the ski lessons. The ski school will tell you everything relevant.

Please note: In the very unlikely case that there are not enough participants in one group, you will join the normal ski classes by the school. Please note that in case you have misjudged your abilities and no other group is available, we cannot refund you nor give you another course.

hey guys, I have sent out the email for Sunday... If anyone has not received it, here it is again:

Hey guys, this is a reminder for Sunday’s ski event.

Here are the details:

_Meet-up at Starbucks at Munich HbF at the event date in the table (yes, it is early but it will always be the case if you want to go skiing).

_You will buy the ticket (Gruppen BOB-MVV ticket, 31 Euros for up to 5 people, not included in price). Please get into groups as soon as you arrive on the ground.

_At around 7.45, you will leave the meeting place and make your way to where the BOB will depart.

_BOB to Lenggries will leave at 8.04 (check that you are on the right coach as the train will separate later at Holzkirchen).

_ Arrive at Lenggries and take the bus (will be obvious which one, there is only one)

_Get out at Brauneck Bahn (most people will get out there and it is the last stop).

_Go to Skischule Isarwinkel (right at the stop, you will see it when you come out…).

_They will have the rentals ready

_4 hours of courses (breaks and curves will have only 3 hours as they are only 4 people)

_Ski together the rest of the day (if you still have any force to do so...)

_Leave back to Munich the latest at 17.30 (last bus). You can decide this in your BOB-ticket group.

You are about 23 people, maybe even more (23 people are taking the classes).

Have fun! I will not be there personally but everything is arranged.

Tim
Due to illness of the teachers, the event got pushed back from 4th February to 18th February. Everyone has been notified, and if you cannot make the new date, please email me under admin@international-friends.net
What is included in the 47 euros?!
Pictures from our last time. Unfortunately we have only the photos from the breaking and curves level classes.
Ski rental includes ski, ski shoes, poles and helmet (you can choose each singly if you want to). Trousers can be bought at Lidl or Aldi or Kick (or some such) for like 20 Euro (I bought mine 9 years ago for 20 pounds and they still work really well). Jacketwise you can use any jacket you have for the winter. Regarding glasses, you really only need them if you are going fast (which you will not be). Gloves are an absolute MUST though.
What happens with the snowboard lessons?? I don't seem to be able to register for them...
