Taking in meadows and vineyards, orchards and wetlands, beaches and Alpine foothills, the lake’s landscapes are like a ‘greatest hits’ of European scenery. Culture? It’s all here, from baroque churches to Benedictine abbeys, Stone Age dwellings to Roman forts, and medieval castles to zeppelins.
Tent spaces are available! Use booking form to book them (3 Euro per space).
The plan is:
Meet up at Hauptbahnhof at Starbucks at 7.20 am (I know, it is early but I think it should be very feasible, allows us more time at the Bodensee).
Arrival at the camping place at around 11-11.30 and building up of the tents.
Going down to Lindau and explore Lindau and the lake or explore the country side.
Grilling at the camps own grilling place.
Going out for a drink and then turning in.
Packing up of tents and leaving them (and whatever else we want) back at the train station (there are loads of lockers there)
If we manage, travel by boat to Bregenz (departure at 9.27 from Lindau) or by train. I will hike up the “Pfänder”, but you could also explore Bregenz or do other stuff if you do not want to come for a hike.
Travel back at 17.57 or at 18.40(planned), arrival back here at 20.41 or 21.20
_Included in price: camping space at camping place, boat Lindau to Bregenz and back or train Lindau to Bregenz and back.
To be bought separately: Bayern ticket for Saturday and for Sunday (each time 10 Euro about as we are going as a group). These will be used to go from Munich to Lindau and back. Each Bayern ticket group will buy a 24 hour pass for the Lindau bus as well (12 for 5 or 2.50 per person).
