Lets go and try out rafting!
Here is a definition of rafting from Wikipedia (for those who do not know what it is):
"Rafting and white water rafting are recreational outdoor activities which use an inflatable raft to navigate a river or other body of water. This is often done on whitewater or different degrees of rough water, and generally represents a new and challenging environment for participants. Dealing with risk and the need for teamwork is often a part of the experience."
This is the slightly advanced kind of rafting that can be done (but no worries, it still classifies as category 2 which is doable for everyone (see photos). The only requirement is that you can swim 10 m (you will get a flotation vest during the whole trip in any case), that you are above 1.30 m and that you can have loads of fun!
Here are the details of the trip:
_Meet-up at the time indicated at Starbucks in Hauptbahnhof (Plattform 11)
_Buying of a BOB Gruppen ticket (considerably cheaper than Bayern ticket, only available at the yellow machines, not included in price)
_Travel to the departure point in Lenggries
_The guides will show you how to put on the wet suits (rental of these is included in price) as well as the safety gear. They will also show you how to handle the boats etc...
_ Trip down the Isar up to Bad Tölz .
_Transfer back to the starting point
_ Train back to Lenggries.
